Welcome to The Abravanel, Duarte and Verdugo International Sephardic Foundation, an organization dedicated to promoting and preserving the unique cultural heritage of Sephardic Jews around the world.
Our commitment to inclusivity and compassion is rooted in the Torah and Talmudic scriptures, which teach us to love our neighbors as ourselves and to show kindness to all individuals, regardless of their background or identity.
In Leviticus 19:18, it is written, "You shall not take vengeance or bear a grudge against your kinsfolk. Love your neighbor as yourself: I am the Lord." This verse reminds us to treat others with kindness and respect, even if they are different from us.
In the Talmud, it is said, "The world exists only through the breath of children studying Torah" (Shabbat 119b). This highlights the importance of education and learning, and the role it plays in preserving our cultural heritage.
As part of our commitment to promoting inclusivity and supporting marginalized communities, we proudly support the every community. We believe that everyone deserves to be treated with respect and dignity, and we are guided by the Talmudic teaching that, "Whoever saves a single life, it is as if they have saved the entire world" (Sanhedrin 37a).
To further our commitment to supporting marginalized communities, we are currently working on a project called “Michael’s House” which is inspired by the teachings of the Torah and Talmud. This project aims to provide a safe space for at-risk youth and transgender individuals to receive support and resources.
We believe that everyone deserves access to a safe and supportive community, and we are committed to making this a reality through our work at The Abravanel, Duarte and Verdugo International Sephardic Foundation.
Our organization is made up of a team of dedicated professionals, volunteers, and supporters who are passionate about Sephardic culture and traditions. We offer a variety of programs and initiatives to educate, celebrate, and preserve Sephardic culture for future generations. Our educational programs, cultural events, research initiatives, and advocacy work are all guided by the values of compassion, inclusion, and respect.
The Abravanel, Duarte and Verdugo International Sephardic Foundation was established in [insert year] by our founders who recognized the need to promote and preserve the rich cultural heritage of Sephardic Jews. We are headquartered in Los Angeles, California with members and supporters located worldwide. We work with individuals and organizations from around the world to promote and preserve Sephardic culture on a global scale.
Join us in our mission to promote inclusivity, celebrate diversity, and support marginalized communities. We believe that together, we can make a positive impact on the world and create a better future for all.
